A few words...,

Hello, and welcome to my web site, originating from Fox Point (on the beautiful Aspotogan Peninsula), Lunenburg County , Nova Scotia, Canada- 50 km south west of our provincial capital, Halifax . I have been a public school teacher for 27 years in Nova Scotia .

I have taught grades 5 to 9 (10 to 14 year olds), but most of my time has been spent in teaching Grade 7 English, science and social studies.

I began teaching at Chester Municipal High School, Chester, in 1968 and then moved in 1976 to Mill Cove District School where for 18 years I was a teaching principal . This school was replaced by a new building in September, 2000- Aspotogan Consolidated Elementary School . (The new school, pictured below,  consolidated the  Blandford, Mill Cove and Fox Point buildings)

I have been interested in computers and computing for many years and I am enjoying the WWW very much.

I attended the Nova Scotia Teachers College ; Acadia University , where I received my Bachelor of Arts, with an emphasis on Canadian and Maritime history, and Saint Mary's University , where I received my Master of Education degree. I had to retire early for health reasons. My site now has two main parts: the Cryptogram site @ http://cryptograms.ca or the mirror site @ http://cryptos.ca  and the Cryptostore; theTeaching & Learning About Canada Page was a huge part of the site, but as of June 1, 2005 I turned it over to others to run and maintain . I also maintained a large British TV Favourites site until the end of 2007. These pages have introduced me to many people from all over the world.  I also print various cryptogram publications which you can view at the Cryptostore or download the catalog/catalogue as a pdf file.  Please feel free to E -Mail me.

I love to hear from former students and colleagues as well as puzzle fans or any others who may visit my sites !!
